Cardio - 20 minutes of 2 minutes/2 minutes on the elliptical with arms. Distance 1.52 miles. Average HR: 112, Max HR, 132.
I don't think I'm getting enough out of these. I think I need to change up my intervals and do this one (the 2/2s) once a week. |

Thursday - walked 2+ miles around Santa Maria.
Off the rest of the holiday, not by choice, but out of necessity.
Wanted to ride today, but not practical after driving all day, so back to upper body.
Today: Upper body Shoulder press, 20 lb dumbbells, 10 reps. 3 sets. Lat pulls, 20 lb dumbbells.10 reps, then 8 reps. Form fail tonight... not going to push it. Chest press, 20 lb dumbbells, 12 reps. 3 sets. To failure, yay! |

I have a friend, a 50-ish yr old woman who was done with her breast cancer treatment before I met her a year or so ago. She hadn't been reconstructed and hadn't kept up on her doctor appointments. Extreme doctor fatigue, which I completely understand. She moved up here from south Florida.
When I found all this out, I gave her all my doctors' information. She's been getting checked out now and had her reconstruction around Thanksgiving. She is pleased. I'm pleased. :)
She knitted me a cool colorful boa as a thank you and called me her "breast friend." HA!!! :)

| | accomplished | ] | Saturday: 14 - 15 miles biking on relatively flat gravel road at Baylands. Good time to work on building base miles.
Sunday: 11.5 miles at China Camp. Climbs were alright (nothing excited), but felt very strong on the downhills.
Building up to ride two days in a row comfortably for Mountain Bike Oregon in August. |

| | Bowling for Soup - Only Young | ] | Thursday: 2 min on/2 min slow intervals on the elliptical (no arm thingees) for 20 minutes. Distance: 1.61 miles HR: Average 131, Max 142.
It looks this is the way I'm going to 1) up my energy levels and 2) up my metabolism. |

Upper body: 15 lb dumbbells, 3 sets. Need to get some more plates from the store. Lat Pulls / Shoulder Press, superset. 8 reps. 20 lb dumbbells, 3 sets. Chest Press, 10 reps. Martial arts combos: Jab/punch, Jab/uppercut, Jab/body punch. Mixed up for 5 minutes. Stretched for 3 minutes. |
